Job Role: Insulation Engineer

Location: Leeds

Hourly rate is up to £10.50 per hour dependant on experience.

Clade Engineering Systems Ltd is one of the UK’s largest manufacturer of Co2 refrigerated plant, supplying goods to a variety of the UK’s largest retailers and food distribution centers.

We are currently looking to employ an Insulation Engineer (Pipework Lagger) responsible for covering pipes and components with insulating material. The purpose of this is to keep heat out and create a vapour seal around the pipework and components within the refrigeration system. Previous experience beneficial but not essential as training will be given as part of the role.

The role requires attention to detail as well as a keen eye for detail. The insulation of the equipment and pipework is a critical addition to the system to ensure no heat gain to the refrigeration system as well as ensuring no exposed low temperature components of pipework freeze.

Duties include:

  • Measuring, cutting and shaping the insulating material to fit round the pipework, components and vessels
  • Cleaning the surfaces to be insulated as well as stripping out old insulation
  • Fixing of insultation with adhesive substance ensuring a clean finish and vapour seal

Job Role: Refrigeration Manufacturing Operative

Location: Leeds

To be responsible for the assembly and manufacture of goods and products within Clade Engineering Systems – Plant Manufacturing Division, predominantly but not limited to refrigeration plant and chillers or parts associated to the equipment.

You will be required to assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in our manufacturing facility whilst reporting to the – Manufacturing Supervisor.

Duties include:

  • Read, interpret and follow design, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Follow instruction from Supervisors and leadership team relating to allocated works and Health & Safety.
  • Utilise handheld tools safely as well as the use and safe operation of electrical equipment where trained and / or qualified.
  • Performing brazing (where quailed to), in line with safe working practises.
  • Maintain inventory of product in workstations – follow allocated works and job packs and complete on time as instructed. Ensure Supervisor and Production Coordinator is informed upon completion.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards prior to office QA check by the Technical Support Engineer or Manufacturing Supervisor.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation or report when defects are identified.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes or instruction given.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

Job Role: Trainee Commissioning Engineer

Our Team at Clade Engineering Systems (Formerly A1 Engineering Solutions) is looking to recruit a Trainee Commissioning Engineer who is flexible and willing to work at various site locations around UK.  The ideal candidate will have a refrigeration service background and ideally within a supermarket/retails setting. FGAS qualification is a must have and CO2 experience is preferred. A good attitude to work is essential within the refrigeration industry in order to fulfil deadlines set out by the clients. The role may require overnight stays or evening work therefore flexibility is needed.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop and grow with the role and we offer a very competitive salary and benefits.

  • Development of a commissioning plan to ensure project delivery timescales can be achieved.
  • Completion of commissioning tasks and documentation.

Our Projects department within Clade Engineering Systems (Formerly A1 Engineering Solutions) is recruiting for another skilled Refrigeration Commissioning Engineer to join the growing team and assist with the commissioning of refrigeration plant, water chillers and pump stations. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact supporting our projects installation team by ensuring the commissioning of site based complex refrigeration systems across the UK.

Ideally you will have refrigeration commissioning experience gained within the food retail sector, using natural refrigerants and the latest controls for refrigeration plant. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the safe management of pressure testing and have an eye for quality.

Qualifications or recent experience and knowledge of working with most types of commercial or light industrial plant products will be helpful but not essential.

You will work principally in the region close to your home base however occasionally will also be required to work across the UK to cover holiday periods and at times of high demand. There may also be the opportunity to work overseas on occasions.

Job Role: Electrical Mate
