Job Role: Trainee Commissioning Engineer

Location: Leicester

Our Team at Clade Engineering Systems (Formerly A1 Engineering Solutions) is looking to recruit a Trainee Commissioning Engineer who is flexible and willing to work at various site locations around UK.  The ideal candidate will have a refrigeration service background and ideally within a supermarket/retails setting. FGAS qualification is a must have and CO2 experience is preferred. A good attitude to work is essential within the refrigeration industry in order to fulfil deadlines set out by the clients. The role may require overnight stays or evening work therefore flexibility is needed.

Job Roles and responsibilities:

  • Development of a commissioning plan to ensure project delivery timescales can be achieved.
  • Completion of commissioning tasks and documentation.
  • Support the senior Engineers when needed.

  • Resolving any technical issues allocated to ensure site is operating to specification
  • Ensuring work meets completion within the given timescale on time.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSE pass in Maths and English as per college requirements.

  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undertake further qualifications.

Job Role: Electrical Engineer

To support growth within our Projects Installation team Clade Engineering Systems (Formerly A1 Engineering Solutions) is looking to recruit a Trainee Commissioning Engineer who is flexible and willing to work at various site locations around UK.   are looking for a candidate with proven experience as an Electrician working in the commercial and retail environment to complete installations of small to large-scale refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities will include
• The installation of containment, cabling including power and alarm networking required within a new or existing refrigeration system.
• The installation of control panels.
• Carry out all aspects of electrical testing required for a particular installation.
• Experience in technical fault finding and resolution.
• The ability to interpret electrical drawings and simplify the complex.
• Ensure compliance with safe systems of work, risk assessments, method statements etc. and all relevant documentation is adhered to in accordance with company health and safety policy
• Co-operate with Project Manager, electrical supervisor & office staff providing information as required.
• Take ownership of projects from conception to completion.
• Ensure clients specifications and time scales are met at all times.
• The role could involve a mixture of days, nights and some weekend work with overnight stays included, so a flexible approach is essential.

• Level 3 in initial and periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations (2391).

Experience
• Experience of working within the commercial/industrial refrigeration industry is preferable but not essential.
• A good level of organisational skills.
• Good fault-finding knowledge.
• Experience in meeting targets and deadlines.

This is a great opportunity to make a real impact supporting our projects installation team by ensuring the commissioning of site based complex refrigeration systems across the UK.

Ideally you will have refrigeration commissioning experience gained within the food retail sector, using natural refrigerants and the latest controls for refrigeration plant. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the safe management of pressure testing and have an eye for quality.

Qualifications or recent experience and knowledge of working with most types of commercial or light industrial plant products will be helpful but not essential.

You will work principally in the region close to your home base however occasionally will also be required to work across the UK to cover holiday periods and at times of high demand. There may also be the opportunity to work overseas on occasions.
