A1 announce the appointment of a new Chairman

The Board of Directors at A1 Engineering Solutions are delighted to announce the appointment of Andy Dewhurst, a new Chairman to our business.

The Directors agreed that additional governance and oversight of board decisions was a key requirement as the business is growing at pace. This is to ensure our future growth is managed appropriately, thus ensuring it is profitable & sustainable over the long term which in turn provides security and prosperity for all employees.

Andy has previously acted as a Chairman, Board Advisor and Non-Executive Director, and has experience both internationally and in the UK. His knowledge and involvement is wide ranging in Mobile Telecoms, Food and Non-Food Retail, Financial Services, Supermarket Banking and Marketing.

Andy was formerly a CEO in Tesco with over 25 years’ experience across a wide range of market sectors covering Food and Non-Food Retail, Banking, Telecoms and Joint Ventures; he was also Founder of Tesco Personal Finance and Tesco Mobile. His early career was spent in the core Tesco business, holding Director level roles in Fresh Food, Trading and Property Services, therefore Andy brings valuable experience to the A1 Engineering Solutions team. Andy is actively involved in charity fundraising with Action Medical Research.
