Electrical Manufacturing Fitter
Location: Leeds
We are currently looking to employ electrical fitters to carry out the installation of electrical components as well as the wiring of control panels to refrigeration plant, heat pumps, products and sub-assemblies. The role requires skills in the assemble or wiring electrical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in our manufacturing facility. Experience in a similar role is preferred along with applicable electrical qualifications.

Manufacturing Operative
Location: Leeds
This role involves assembling and manufacturing goods and products within Clade predominantly but not limited to Heat Pumps, refrigeration plant and chillers or parts associated to the equipment.
You will be required to assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in our manufacturing facility whilst reporting to the Team Leader.
Duties include:
- Read, interpret and follow design, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Follow instruction from Supervisors and leadership team relating to allocated works and Health & Safety.
- Utilise handheld tools safely as well as the use and safe operation of electrical equipment where trained and / or qualified.
- Performing brazing (where qualified to), in line with safe working practises.
- Maintain inventory of product in workstations – follow allocated works and job packs and complete on time as instructed. Ensure Team Leader and Production Coordinator is informed upon completion.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards prior to office QA check by the Technical Support Engineer or Team Leader.
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation or report when defects are identified.
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes or instruction given.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

Commissioning Engineer
Location: Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham regions
Competitive rates of pay.
You will work principally in the region close to your home base however occasionally will also be required to work across the UK to cover holiday periods and at times of high demand.
Our Projects department is recruiting for another skilled Refrigeration Commissioning Engineer to join the growing team and assist with the commissioning of refrigeration plant, water chillers, pump stations and heat pumps. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact supporting our projects installation team by ensuring the commissioning of site based complex refrigeration systems across the UK.
Ideally you will have refrigeration commissioning experience gained within the food retail sector, using natural refrigerants and the latest controls for refrigeration plant. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the safe management of pressure testing and have an eye for quality.
Qualifications or recent experience and knowledge of working with most types of commercial or light industrial plant products will be helpful but not essential.
- This is a site based commissioning role working on predominantly supermarket refrigeration systems and heat pumps.
- The role will include the setup, testing, checking and fault finding of new and existing refrigeration plant and systems on new and existing food retail sites.
- In addition to food retail, there will be opportunities to work on refrigeration systems in other related fields such as industrial sites.

Water Chiller Engineer
Location: Birmingham and surrounding area
Main Purpose and Scope of the job
Purpose of your role:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Water Chiller Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team in the UK. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Water Chiller Commissioning Engineer with extensive knowledge in refrigeration systems and water/flow rates. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of water chiller systems to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct commissioning, testing and start-up of water chiller systems in various applications.
- Perform detailed inspections and assessments of refrigeration and water flow systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and operational requirements.
- Calibrate and adjust system controls, including temperature, pressure and flow rates, to optimise performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to refrigeration cycles, water flow rates and system performance.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of water chiller systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, design engineers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

- Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, water/flow rates and related control systems.
- Experience on working with Co2 and hydrocarbon refrigerants is a requirement.
- Working knowledge of electronic control systems across a range of applications is essential.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, including various types of chillers, cooling towers and heat exchangers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Commissioning Engineer (Water)
Location: Leeds area and Birmingham area
Main Purpose and Scope of the job
Purpose of your role:
A LTHW (Low Temperature Hot Water) Commissioning Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing the commissioning process of low temperature hot water systems. The role involves collaborating with design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure that the installation, testing, and balancing of LTHW systems meet specifications and requirements. Key responsibilities include conducting system inspections, performing functional testing, troubleshooting issues, documenting results, and providing technical support during the commissioning phase. The role will be working closely with Clade’s heat pump Commissioning Engineers and learning heat pump set up also. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical engineering, HVAC systems, and building services, with experience in commissioning and startup activities. Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the Clade commissioning process for LTHW systems.
- Support setup of Clade heat pumps in conjunction with fluid system tests and checks.
- Collaborate with design teams to receive the relevant design specification and set points which a system should be commissioned to.
- Ensure the installation, testing and balancing of LTHW systems meet specifications and requirements, and where it doesn’t, provide feedback on potential resolutions.
- Survey sites to assess existing building services systems and comment on client requirements.
- Have a solid understanding of controls to be able to liaise with the controls engineers to agree a control philosophy.
- Assist in the resolution of problems and issues on site as they occur either during install or as part of our After Care package.
- Support the customer post installation and answer queries.
- Post Project Evaluation of Key Lessons Learnt.
Skill Set, Qualifications and Experience:
- Excellent organisational skills.

Senior Project Manager
Location: Birmingham (travel required)
Main Purpose and Scope of the job
To lead and support the delivery of allocated projects in line with our customers specifications following Clade processes and procedures both individually and via management of a small team.
As part of the senior team within Projects, this role will include being key point of contact for several of Clade’s project customers ensuring effective communication and completion of tasks and problem solving.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that all projects are proactively managed and delivered on-time, within scope and within budget in conjunction with the customers needs.
- Ownership of all financial aspects of allocated projects including labour and materials.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Primary contact for Clade’s key project customers including general communication and escalations.
- Liaising & chief communicator between Clade’s customers, installation/delivery teams and After Care team.
- Take responsibility for financial aspects including cost documents (SORs, SQTs) of the key customer accounts, working closely with Clade Operations Manager, Costing Managers and Installation Manager.

Supply Chain Administrator
Location: Leeds
Main Purpose and Scope of the job
This role provides dedicated administration support to our Supply Chain Manager, Manufacturing Director and Senior Team within our Manufacturing facility in Morley, Leeds. You will work proactively to anticipate needs while exceeding targets and expectations prioritising customer requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist and support the implementation and maintenance of the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to ensure accurate inventory control and production planning.
- Electronic generation of O&M manuals (support provided by the Commissioning Team).
- Managing Supplier & Subcontractor PQQ for the plant team.
- Raising of Purchase orders and processing all invoice queries.
- Tracking of supplier deliveries & approvals of all goods exceeding £5k.
- Update bin locations or product codes as required.
- Support stores when required by helping to maintain, create and update work orders and bill of materials (BOM).
- General admin duties including but not limited to answering phones, door, greeting visitors.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Leeds
Main Purpose and Scope of the job
As a Senior Design Engineer, the role is a key appointment within the mechanical and electrical building services consultancy design team at Clade. The role requires a senior level engineer to help lead the mechanical engineering activities, providing detailed design engineering as well as working closely with the sales/estimating team to provide concept designs, estimates and budgets to a variety of projects. This position will report directly to the Design Manager. This role is suited to an engineer with good experience of low temperature hot water heating design and can accurately design both new heating networks and integrate new plant into existing systems. A key part of the role is the ability to lead and assist other members of the design team. In addition to main design duties this role enjoys a close working relationship with live engineering projects and installations. The candidate will need to support the site operations team and be able to make informed decisions on all mechanical matters. The role will suit somebody who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, working with multiple disciplines, new technologies and new concepts, from stage 2 right through to project hand over stage 6.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Review enquiries with the Projects Team and agree feasibility to full concept designs for all mechanical systems.
- Survey sites to assess existing building services systems and provide concepts and comment on client requirements.
- Provide concept designs and costings and assist in tender preparation including specification writing.
- Development of initial feasibility designs to full detailed design on successful projects – taking the lead of the mechanical and electrical design team as required.
- Calculate HVAC loads, electrical consumption, flow rates, pipe sizes etc.
- Have a solid understanding of controls to be able to liaise with the controls engineers to agree a control philosophy and assist creation of descriptions of operation.
- Responsible for leading mechanical and electrical designs to agreed project budgets and ensuring all team members take financial responsibility in design.
- Assist in the preparation of equipment schedules, equipment selections, and supplier’s quotations as requested.
- Ensure comprehensive design and specification packages are handed over to the Projects Team.
- Attend project meetings internally and with clients as required.
- Assist in the resolution of problems and issues on site as they occur.
- Prepare documentation for the Operation and Maintenance manual, obtaining copies of warranties, certificates and “as fitted” drawings as necessary.
- Support the customer post installation and answer queries.
- Post Project Evaluation of Key Lessons Learnt.
- Attend scoping and design meetings, and other meetings as required, to provide project and enquiry updates.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience using industry standard software packages such as CAD, Hevacomp and IES etc
- A solid understanding in mechanical engineering and building services as a whole
- Minimum of Degree qualified within Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards with professional body registration.
- Strong technical experience essential.
- Full driving licence is essential.
